Samsung Galaxy A23

Samsung Galaxy A23

It is a budget handset that aims to be the best of its class in terms of performance, battery life and user experience. The latest smartphone from Samsung, it’s an affordable option, with great specifications for the money (especially considering the fact that the specs are not bad at all). If you want something super-fast, reliable, long lasting and powerful, the new iPhone SE is way ahead. You’ll be glad to know there is nothing holding back the iPhone in this regard, because, well, it’s just better than anything else.

Samsung A23 Price: $450; Check Prices

In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy A23 has almost everything I like about Apple’s phones in terms of price. In short, one thing we absolutely love about Apple is their prices. At launch, the cheapest model of the Apple iPhone 6s was only $399. That feels like much more money compared to the same device on sale in China, and probably means they spent less time and effort making it. So even if someone is willing to shell out another thousand dollars on a brand new phone, you can bet your house some extra change, and get the best bang for your buck. As far as features go, the Samsung A23 has everything you could think of in a new Android phone. This includes 4G LTE connectivity, fast charging, 8GB RAM.

setup with up to 2MP depth sensing, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC (on my case). Let me explain why these things are so awesome about the Samsung A23.

Overview:

A quick overview of what other smartphones have in common: memory, screen size, processor speed and many other capabilities. Well, Samsung did pretty amazingly when it came to designing the A23. It comes with 6GB of RAM, but it does feature UFS 3.0 storage space for faster loading times and easier booting times. With 128GB being a normality for most people, the A23 doesn’t disappoint either by having 256GB – 512GB available. Plus, unlike many big name manufacturers like OnePlus or Google, where you need to buy several models to cover every occasion, Samsung made sure each phone has one single model. What I mean by this is, that once you pick up the Samsung Galaxy A23, you can use the exact same configuration of the phone whenever, wherever. Meaning, no need to worry about buying different versions. Instead, just put them in the box, open them, plug them into any power source and voila! Your next purchase will be right off the bat. And, I don’t even mean ‘winner!’ No, actually. Every smartphone manufacturer makes the mistake of creating a large variety of products and packaging them in unique boxes. Because then you’re spoiling, and ruining your enjoyment. That being said, how do you make a beautiful product without ruining it? It’s very simple - using the tried and tested method of keeping costs down. All while still delivering excellent quality and value for money. Therefore, all that’s needed is one element- a premium design. And as shown below, the Samsung Galaxy A23 pays close attention to this concept!

The entire front panel is a sleek minimalist look

blending seamlessly into the background of the phone and leaving no doubt as to which product it is! Now that the aesthetics are sorted, let’s turn our focus to the inside. There is a lot going on here, not least because Samsung decided to cram two rear cameras inside their newest flagship phone. And as such, a wide-angle lens and optical zoom will definitely offer you plenty of options for the money you spend. On top of that, the main sensor offers superb dynamic range, meaning that low light situations will be handled perfectly. What I mean by dynamic range is, that it is capable of capturing very bright images, but also producing soft shadows. Since these details will never be visible in direct sunlight, they won’t ruin the photo quality. Another bonus of getting a wider-angle-oriented shooter in a smartphone is that you’ll end up with a better field of view for video calls. Of course, no matter which angle you shoot from, both HD and ultra-HD video content will look amazing to anyone who uses videos! Speaking of video footage, if the main camera is equipped with OIS, you should expect superior image processing. Even though I was quite impressed with the OIS, I did notice that certain videos were pixelated a bit when recording directly from the subject. However, the company decided to remedy this issue by improving AI algorithms. By adding a dedicated bokeh effect during playback, the result is noticeably better. To conclude, the Samsung A23 boasts incredible high-tech aesthetics and functionality and is an absolute treat to look at when looking at it from the outside. Only the best can say that.

Pricing and availability: Check Prices

Now that we can take a deep dive into the Samsung Galaxy A23 itself and talk about its inner workings, let’s start talking about pricing and availability. When compared with the regular iPhone 6, the Samsung Galaxy A23 starts at $449, and goes all the way up to around $1,000, for a total of just under 200 bucks before tax.

Why is this important, you ask?

First, consider the fact that the iPhone SE’s original price tag was somewhere between $500-$700. While technically, the Samsung Galaxy A23 may still have an identical price tag, it doesn’t really make sense to spend nearly twice the cost of the iPhone SE’s predecessor. Besides pocket ability, however, the reason we believe the Samsung A23 is worth the extra cash is due to two key factors. Firstly, unlike its predecessor, the A23 does support Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing you to use your mobile data plan anywhere you please. Secondly, this particular Samsung is designed to last an eternity. Sure, Apple sells new iPhones every year, but Samsung keeps coming back with refreshed devices that are exactly the same as their predecessors. For example, the first generation of the Samsung Galaxy SIII launched in September 2013. Not only that, but there are even special editions in the market to commemorate those occasions – the G8, SIII Pro, Ultra, etc. Simply put, this is not as easy as it seems, yet it is one of the greatest benefits of owning a smartphone from Samsung. Don’t forget to give its full 5 star rating on Amazon, since it doesn’t get enough hype!
